Mayor and Council Members

 

Mayor 

Gary Iverson serves as Mayor of Sunburst.  He was elected to office in 2001 and is now serving his third 4 year terms\.  Gary grew up in Sunburst and along with his wife, Teri, raised his family here.  Gary runs Montana Gluten Free and operates the family farm.

 

Town Council

 

Mike Tobin was appointed to the council in 2008 to fill a vacancy and was elected to the position in 2009.  Mike works in Homeland Security at the Sweet Grass Port of Entry.   

 

Jacque Coolidge was elected to the council in 2005 and again in 2009.  Jacque and her husband, Hank, own and operate an automotive and oilfield contracting business.

Lorri Housel was elected to the council in 2009.  Lorri is also a native to Sunburst.  Lorri and her husband, Mike, both work for oil companies.

Dale Diegel has served on the council since being elected in 2009. Dale grew up in Sunburst, works in the oilfield, and lives here with his wife, Julie.  Dale is seeking re-election in 2012.

Employees

 

Linda Burley, the Town Clerk/Treasurer for Sunburst was hired in 2006.  She grew up in Sunburst and along with her husband, Vince, and three children, returned to town in 2003. Prior to accepting the position with the Town, Linda worked for the State of Montana Board of Oil & Gas.

 

Dan Kolve has hired in 2008 and serves in the capacity of maintenance worker.  He and his wife, Ashley, have two children and moved to Sunburst after accepting his position with the Town.  Prior to joining the staff for the Town of Sunburst, Dan worked in Great Falls for Mountainview Cooperative.
